The Account Manager will be expected to sell the main products areas such as;
Computer equipment, leasing, equipment supply and consulting services for systems integration, server and storage solutions, network solutions and financial solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES: You will have product teams as back up so that you have unprecedented freedom to get close to your client and understand the client's business and IT needs, at an executive as well as an operational level. You will become familiar w/our offerings and offer fact-based IT solutions so you can intellengently discuss options w/each client. Success also requires developing value-enhancing business relationships with our manufacturing partners and their local and regional representatives.
You should have a solid understanding of technology including a variety of hardware and software platforms. The ability to capitalize on an existing book of business is a real plus. Account Managers who succeed over time have a background in, an affinity for, a desire to, or have a family history of, entrepreneurship--of running your own business. Requirements: 7+ years proven sales success in computer hardware sales, or in systems integration Proven success at cold calling into accounts Understanding of computer hardware/software platforms Aggressive, high-energy approach to doing business, self starter Money motivated, confident Strong sense of urgency Understands solution selling Ability to orchestrate resources in a team selling environment Willingness to devote personal time to customers and vendor partners to develop relationships A solid understanding of leasing or a very strong interest in developing a lease portfolio Time management and organizational skills Excellent communication skills to assist you at the executive level Business acumen to understand the whole picture while executing at the detail level Effective listening skills Relationship selling experience A Bachelor degree is preferred Local territory experience and a book of business is a must
