Job Description

Our client, located near the Connecticut shore offers a full-time, direct hire, permanent job opportunity.

 

The Microsoft Server and Storage Administrator will install, configure, monitor, maintain and upgrade the Microsoft server-based hardware platforms, technical environments and operating systems.  You will also participate on projects that require new server installations or upgrades to existing server hardware and/or operating systems.

 

This position is also responsible  for storage area networks in both development and production and environments, including backups, restores, and disaster recovery plans.  This position requires 24 X 7 support.  You will also provide backup coverage for the Domain Administrator.

 
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

- 5+ years overall experience in an information technology support role is required

- 3 years work experience with server hardware including Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory and SAN, preferably EMC products.

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related field of study is required (equivalent work experience in information technology, minimum of 5 years, accepted in place of Bachelors)

- 1 year of work experience in designing, scheduling and performing data backups, restores and recoveries.

- MCP 70-290 certification required; MCSE or MCSA preferred

- EMC training or certification preferred
